Using a room maker game I made a little prototype of the shop and the main components in it. Obviously I had to use the limited choice of objects provided by the game so some components are missing. Here the room is divided in two providing a split view of the layout. I decided that the room on the right would have all the components that could be added, all the little detailing, whilst the other room on the left would have the catalogue showcasing the products already made and the available embellishments. One would enter through the left, look at the catalogue and get an idea of their remixed shirt then pass on to the right where they would choose the elements needed and put it together. The cabinets with the little drawers could contain buttons, studs, sequins and other little bits that could be used for collars and cuffs whilst the clothes racks could contain the main elements of the shirt, the sleeves and the main vest to which everything is attached.
Examples of what the racks could look like, from the left: shirt vest, sleeves and collars. These could be remixed to personalize ones clothing. Once the shirts are put together they can be further embellished or left simply as they are.
Here we see some of the possible final combinations that could be made using the above example elements. These can still be adorned on the cuffs or the collar.
Some examples of what could be done as a final embellishment to the shirts, pearl beads on the cuffs and black dots on the collar.
Drawers of buttons could be on display as both functional and decorative showcases. Buttons could be used as buttons but also as embellishments.
